Josh Brolin has reportedly left the Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World, due to scheduling and salary conflicts. The rumor is that Parks and Recreation and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, is in talk to replace him. If this does indeed happen Pratt will play the rugged ex-military man, against Bryce Dallas Howard’s smart corporate scientist.

We will keep you up to date on this casting change. Jurassic World is due in theaters the summer of 2015.

Playing against Howard, Pratt's a better choice anyway. I obviously don't know the script, but Brolin and Howard seem like too much of an age-disparity. BTW, I'm not "agist". They could have replaced Howard to make it work, too. The wide gulf in ages is just something that tends to be problematic.

Pratt has become a favorite of mine. A very real actor and a great comic tone.

I like age vs youth... That can be a good angle to play on.

Never watched Parks and Rec. All I know Pratt from is from Movie 43 and his infamous getting hit by a car scene.

You are missing out, Parks & Rec is pretty damn good...

Yeah, been missing Pratt for most of this season of Parks and Rec.  His star has really started taking off.  Very funny dude.  Park and Rec is pretty good too.  It took a season or so to get its footing but only Rowe Lowe and Adam Scott joined the cast, the show found itself.

I like Brolin, but Pratt is becoming a fav of mine as well.

Damn. I was hoping for Benjamin Pratt.
