Precursors

A few months ago I titled a DVD Shopping Bag column: “Precursor”. It dealt with the Warner Brothers re-release of Omega Man coinciding with the theatrical release of I am Legend. This, of course, was not, nor will it ever be, an isolated occurrence. The summer is packed with theatrical releases that all have existed in one form or another (movie, cartoon, TV series). So here is a list of precursors that will be released to capitalize on all the Hollywood blockbuster hype. Tim Janson (fellow Mania columnist) and I will be bringing you as many titles as we can get our collective hands on.
