Gotta say, with all the AVP crap from recent years, I was not very interested in this reboot, but that is an awesome plot idea, humans brought to the Prd homeworld for sport...
A day after Danny Trejo confirmed in an interview he was joining the cast of Predators, the geeks over at Latino Review have what they believe is plot details for next summer's sci-fi adventure. The website reveals that Trejo's character is named "Cuchillo," a member of an eight-person squad kidnapped by the Predators and transported to their homeworld.
In their video coverage, Kellvin also reveals the names of his comrades, gives descriptions of the planet scenery and what kind of creatures they'll be facing off against. Hint: Predators won't be the only beasts the soldiers will have to deal with.

Director Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) is directing from a screenplay by Alex Litvak and Michael Finch. Rodriguez is executive producing.
Predators will hit theaters July 7, 2010.

At least there not using "a group of very intense people" as there plot summary anymore. My prediction is "Cuchillo" dies third, while someone remarks, "what a nimrod".
Yeah I agree WISEGUY, so tired of the strong female, they barley have half our upper body strength (proven fact)!!! We get it women want to be treated equaly. Thats fine and all but cant use guys have our action movies and have a tough dude be the savior and maybe even sole survivior to prove his bad assery!? Nimrod and RR i hope you watch and learn from Predator 1 and give us that old school experience! NO MORE TOUGH CHICKS!!
What's the problem with tough chicks? It's not like us guys are going to beat Predators because of upper body strength anyway - I think Predators pretty much have all humans beat there.
Sure, maybe you can't have Angelina Jolie create traps by hoisting enormous tree trunks into the air using nothing but vines. Or wield a minigun and clearcut the Predator's forests with it.
But defeating Predators is really about being a better hunter than them, and that's got more to do with the mind, than anything. The mind, fellas, is the most dangerous weapon of all...
Dutch beat a Predator w/ his upper body strength. If he didn't have the strength to hoist that tree trunk up there he would've been fncked.
So Danny Trejo goes from Machete to Cuchillo? Glad to see he's keeping it in the blade family, I suggest Navaja for his next role.
Why isn't Robert Rodriguez directing? So when it sucks he doesn't get the full blame.
Predators go to Earth and hunt the most bad ass killers of Earth then kidnap them for the purpose of taking them to their home planet and hunting them again? Why would they hunt the same prey twice? And if it was so easy to hunt/kidnap them in the first place why would they have trouble hunting them in their homeworld? Unless they state that they wanted the challenge of hunting the group it doesn't make sense.
I'm also not digging the idea of the Predators who are excellent hunters using dogs and birds to aid them in the hunt. The new script does sound better than the original draft's review.
I'm with you Wiseguy, RR should have been directing this and I've been saying that since day one. hanso, I agree it' s probalby going to suck but I think the chance of that were less if RR would direct it. You can't tell everyone that you have a specific vision for the movie then expect director to convey that same vision, it's freaking impossible.
Wow, I just realized how cool of a name the word "cuchillo" is.
