The Robotech.com site has sent out news that they're putting out a trade paperback to collect the Prelude To The Shadow Chronicles comic series.
Featuring the return of longtime Robotech: The Sentinels comic creators Jason and John Waltrip along with art by Omar Dogan and newly added material, the prelude to "The Shadow Chronicles" covers the time period leading up to the animated movie that was released a few years ago distributed by FUNimation.
If you order directly from Robotech.com, they have an exclusive: all copies sold through the Robotech.com Store will be autographed by Shadow Chronicles director, Tommy Yune.
This full-sized 128-page volume contains:
- the complete Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles series #1-5 with previously unpublished new material
- illustrated Robotech timeline and planetary guide
- data files of mecha and vessels from the comic series

I thought new Robotech was meh....they need to keep the stories Earthbound like in the Wars.
A good prequel to Robotech would be something after the Ship crashes on Earth.
