Preview the second season of DARK ANGEL on DVD

The James Cameron created science fiction series DARK ANGEL may have only lasted two seasons but Fox Home Video is doing its best to remember the show's fans. Yesterday the second season of DARK ANGEL debuted on DVD in the form of a six-disc set containing all 21 episodes including the Cameron directed season finale.

Fox incorporated additional bonus matrerial into the set including commentaries for four episodes (including the final one, "Freak Nation"); three featurettes; and a blooper reel. The episodes are presented in full-frame aspect (1.33:1) as they were originally broadcast.

The second season of DARK ANGEL continued the plight of Max (Jessica Alba), a genetically engineered young woman who was created by the government to be the ultimate soldier. Escaping from her captors while still a pre-teen, Max fled to Seattle and found a job working as a bike courier. She spent her leisure time trying to track down the other escapees from the Manticore Project, and in the second season, began to find these individuals. Everything builds towards a climactic showdown with Max and the Manticores on one side and the forces of the government on the other.

The second season DVD set of DARK ANGEL retails for $59.98 USD / $89.98 CDN and is now available in stores. The first season was released on DVD earlier this year.
