Fox has greenlit a fourth season for "Prison Break," while the network confirmed that "The Return of Jezebel James" wouldn't be back, reports Variety Fox has ordered 22 more "Prison Break" episodes from 20th Century Fox TV. The show had its third season cut short by the WGA strike for Fox aired 13 episode this season, averaging 8.2 million viewers and a 3.5 rating/9 share among adults 18-49.

The third season of "Prison Break" revolved around the show's main characters breaking out of a Panama prison. The show's executive producers had crafted a midyear cliffhanger at the end of the show's 13th episode; that ended up serving as a de facto season finale.

"Prison Break" will also relocate to Los Angeles; production had previously been located in Dallas (seasons two and three) and outside of Chicago (season one).

Paul T. Scheuring created "Prison Break" and executive produces with Matt Olmstead, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal H. Moritz, Kevin Hooks and Brett Ratner.

"Jezebel James" starred Parker Posey as a high-maintenance book editor who asks her younger sister (Lauren Ambrose) to carry her baby. Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino executive produced the show for Regency TV.

That's good news to know. I've been a fan of the show since it started, and the third season, while very good, was only half of what it could have been. I'll be waiting for the new season in the fall when it starts up. But it's too bad they won't be coming back here to film in Chicago, like in the first season.

I've never watched this show but that must be a hell of a jail break to now go on 4 seasons of it.

This is one of the better shows out there mainly due to the characters. I'm glad that there is now a fourth season. This was supposed to conclude with season 3, so maybe the strike was a good thing for the show since we get a little more. There are hit and miss episodes, and I see that this season had less quality than previous years, but it's still a lot better than watching reality shows. It's a shame Jericho has ended, but what do you expect from CBS?

"what do you expect from CBS?"

What does that mean? CBS brought Jericho back for this season. They should be praised for that alone. Other networks would have just let it stay canceled. The ratings were horrible for this mini 2nd season. You can't blame them for canceling a low rated show. They gave it a 2nd shot. Not enough people cared. Blame those people, not CBS.

I blame CBS and I'm sticking to it. CBS really didn't give it a true chance. They gave it 1/3 of a season. They stripped the budget, so that most scenes had only 2 or 3 characters in them. There was hardly any advertising for it. It was also on a horrible time slot. It's like they were saying this will shut the people up, now let's make more Survivor.

But what I really meant by blaming CBS was that they took a good concept and produced it like a soap opera. CBS caters to older people (which is why it is the "most watched" network) and this is a show aimed more for 18 to 40 year olds. If Jericho was produced by Fox, ABC, NBC, or even CW ... the cast would be better, the budget would be better, and the camera shots would not look like they were smudged with Vaseline. CBS loves their CSI, but not much else.

And don't get me wrong... I'm not saying that CBS shouldn't be praised for bringing back a previously canceled show, I think it should. But I would've rather seen Jericho moved (or sold) to Sci-Fi or USA where the show can be appreciated, then half-ass it on their station for seniors.

Has this show jumped the shark yet? Fuck, that's three seasons of breaking out of jails. Next they should send them to the Negative Zone Prison (Project 42) they have in the Marvel Universe, let's see them breakout of that one.

I think the title should've been changed to Prison Broke back around the beginning of season 2.
