While talking to BTTF.com (that's BACK TO THE FUTURE, kids) FUTURE producer Bob Gale confirmed the time traveling trilogy will be hitting DVD stores in the later part of this year.
What's more, he quelled rumors, sponsored by recent television edits of the film, that the terrorists at the beginning of the first film would be edited out in light of September 11.
"Although I'm not the director and I don't have final say, I can't believe Bob Z [director Robert Zemekis] would allow it," he said, adding "if he considered it, I'd do my best to talk him out of it!"
"I will tell you that the movie looks great -- certainly watching it in high-def is going to ruin TV-watching for me forever. The image is sharp, the colors are rich, and I know all the fans will be delighted with the quality," Gale told the site.
