That fate of mutantand mankind has been decided. What happened? Sorry we won't know till Mayof next year, when X-Men 2 hits the big screens.
Anderson Jones ofE! Onlinereported in his MovieScoop column that principal photography has wrapped on X-Men 2.Jones spoke with producer Tom DeSanto about the Herculean tasks awaitingthe film's crew in post-production. DeSanto said, "Now, we go into themad rush of postproduction. We're doing everything from the music and effectsto making sure the film kicks ass on May 3."
Like the rest of the film'scast and crew DeSanto seemed to really enjoy making X2. Hesaid, "It was even better than I expected, and to finish the film in thespectacular Canadian Rockies is a great way to end this experience. It'snot as cold as it was on the first film."
Jones asked DeSantoaboutplans for X-Men 3. He said the fate of a third X-Men filmis ultimately up to moviegoers. He said, "We'll know whether we'll makean X-Men 3 or not on May 3, 2003. Hopefully, everyone who wantsan X-Men 3 will show up then. Tell each fan they have to bring 10friends."
