And apparently all sense of taste is lost.  Wow...  And what's with TDKR hate out of nowhere?  Sad...

SarcasticCaveman 2/28/2013 4:19:58 AM

I enjoyed TDKR fine, but it definitely was the weakest of the movies, IMO.  One guy holding a city hostage with one bomb, all cops worth anything trapped in a sewer for weeks (and they're CLEAN when the come out?), and Bruce's big sacrifice is that he "kills himself" so that he can bone Catwoman for the rest of his life...yeah, way to take one for the team.

And taste is subjective.  You sound awfully full of yourself.

Hpypocrite much?

ThePumpkinKlNG 2/28/2013 8:38:19 AM

And talk about nit-picking.  It was a nuclear bomb (which would do the trick), and who cares if they come out clean, if that is what's on your mind get a hobby, like you know, AintItCool or something, they'd love you.

PumpkinKing don't get started on the TDKR....you've opened up an old can of worms.  There are a select few on this site who for whatever reason think that they can make better movies then the comic directors themselves. As far as I'm concerned they can make fun of Nolan's movies all they want but in the end they are still typing about "his" movies on this particular site....and that is all they will ever do.

I love Batman Begins and The Dark Knight...I like TDKR...but it definitely has the weakest plot and most plotholes that could have been easily fixed.  Christopher Nolan can definitely make a better movie than me, but TDKR was not up to his usual standards, and I would love to know what the hell happened.

Prometheus was a way more inventive prequel to Alien than I'd ever expected it to be, even coming from the brilliant mind of Ridley Scott. I'm truly happy to see that one of the "Great Old Ones" still dares to push the envelope the way he does in this movie. Should be interesting to see if he has the balls to be this "experimental" with the Blade Runner sequel as well, especially now that these two franchizes officially belong to the same universe. Also, anybody complaining about the lack of realism in Prometheus should invest in some imagination and start dishing out critique based on plausibility instead of probability. PREDICTABILITY SUCKS!!!!!

@Violator14 - Cudos for taking on the never ending kill-joy critique of the technichal/narrative/character issues in Prometheus in a professional way. I'm personally down to name-calling by now...

SarcasticCaveman 2/28/2013 9:18:08 AM

And sorry, the sewer thing ain't nitpicking.  Nolan created what many Batman fans consider to be a Gotham that is overly realistic.  Coming out clean after months in a sewer doesn't jive with the established world.  Not a nitpick, that is a glaring oversight on the part of production.

ThePumpkinKlNG 2/28/2013 9:30:47 AM

I still wouldn't call it a glaring oversight by any means.  A normal person when in a cinematic experience doesn't even notice such things.  Thus, nitpicking.  Even going so far as to say that it flies in the face of the established world is reaching.  But it's cool.  You've the right to your opinion, even when it's wrong.
