I saw tattoo yesterday and the big trailer beforehand was Ghostrider 2....yeah, I was sad.
After a few days of daily "teasers", 20th Century Fox and Apple iTunes have launched the first trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus online. The trailer is also attached to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for those who prefer to see it on the silver screen for the first time. You can watch the first trailer and the previously-revealed daily teasers here.
The sci-fi adventure will star Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green and Patrick Wilson. Director Ridley Scott was behind the camera, based on a script he wrote with Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts.
Plot Concept: Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life's ultimate mystery.
Prometheus flies into theaters on June 8, 2012.

Hobbs I assume they meant as of tonight or Friday it'll be showing with TGWTDT. I started thinking that was the case when no bootleg copies started appearing on the web by yesterday morning

Unfortunately, 20th Century Fox didn't give the editors an exact time for the trailer premiere, Wise. Beyond saying it will premiere on Apple sometime today. I guess that's why I left that link up in the article. The Maniacs can bookmark it and keep trying. Hah, I know that as soon as I walk out the door for some last minute shopping, the trailer will go live at the link above.
wise, tatto was okay, it was a bit dragged out. I think Rob's review is one I agree with and I would say 9 out of 10 times I don't agree with him for various reasons. I really enjoyed the book but there is a lot of narrative in the novel and that's always difficult to translate into a movie. That's the same problems I thought The da vinci code had...great book but too hard to translate into a movie. Overall I would recommend it, I don't think a lot of people are going to buy it for their home collection but it's worth seeing.

It's all over some sites yet apple doesn't have it on yet. One site said they roll out by regions so I guess that's the delay but it's on the net already.
Pretty damn awesome too, creepy soundtrack. It looks huge, epic in the real sense of the word and not just hyperbole. Pretty exciting with a lot of action and quick cuts and doesn't give anything away. Man I can't freaking wait for this.

Awesome! Anybody else notice the chair/contraption that the Space Jockey was sitting in in the first Alien? But but no Jockey sitting in it. And is that ship that crashes in the trailer perhaps the derelict ship from Alien as well? So many questions! Can't wait for them to be answered! And it looks like there's more than just hints of "Alien DNA." It looks pretty blatant to me that this is all part of the same universe.
Oh yeah and in 3D baby, let the lovefest begin.
