We here at Mania have being following the E3 coverage and announcements on several of the new games. Earlier we complained that all we were seeing was cinematics. Shame on us because here is one cinematic that gets us really stoked for its game. Checkout the teaser for The Order: 1886. It looks like it is a Mania worthy game!

Synopsis: The Order: 1886 re-writes history by introducing a unique vision of Victorian-Era London where myths and technology co-exist. As a member of an elite order of knights, join a centuries-old war that will determine the course of history forever.

This looks to be one of the few new ideas that really appeals to me.

It's got that steampunk vibe.  Could be cool. PS4 is second on my list of consoles to buy though.  Already put in my pre-order for an Xbox One.  Can't wait to play games on both though.

Who would buy an Xbox One with all those restrictions and the inability to use it without internet? That's insane. MS is going to fall flat on their faces this time. The PS4 is already outselling it 3 to 2.

I agree with you JAW but I think they are aiming for 2 different crouds, the x box one may be a better TV viewer than a mac TV Roku box or the like in this generation, while I see PS4 as the more gamer friendly as I have a gamefly membership thats what I will stick with. IF PS4 nails backwards compatability with Gankai allowing me to stream any PS3 game as long as it is in the disk drive then I think it will be the swan song.

Mr. Jaw, the trading and possible used games restrictions is a bit annoying, but I think the worry about the internet connection is coming from a vocal minority.  People have to face that we live in a connected world and the majority of those who will buy a next gen console have decent internet and won't even think about this issue once they have the console plugged in.  And it's not like MS will stop supporting the 360 anytime soon.  So those who don't have a connection can still enjoy many new games.

And MrEt, as fas as games go I was much more impressed with the exclusives MS showed at the conference, so PS4 being more gamer friendly is definitely not the case IMO.  I just think MS sees itself grabbing the non gamer crowd with all the tv and sports features, which I do think is over reaching.  Especially since you'll still need a cable box.

Either way, by the end of the year I plan on having both consoles.

The trailer's cool, but in the end it's just another FPS... It's getting to be a pretty tired format for me.
