Well looks like it's a heavy Marvel week for me.  Only a couple DC book i'm going to grab.  I have to ask anyone out there what has anyone heard about the Injustice Gods Among Us?  Outside of the sick game trailers which I rewatch all the time is this book a limited series?

Superior Spiderman is anything but.

I soooo look forward to the day when Slott's ruin of Spiderman is over & a new writer can come in and make the book not a crap-fest any longer.

It really stinks not being able to read my favorite character without groaning every other page.

@spiderhero - I agree although I am giving it a few more comics before I throw in the towell.

The Avengers is a pretty decent comic right now and I like the direction it's going.  The writing and art is good.  That should be on your pull list.

I've read the new group of Avengers and I wasn't impressed.  The uber-powerful aliens looking to remake the Earth was not a great story and had a generally crappy end.  And the new line-up of the team has me scratching my head.  Cannonball and Sunspot are a bit odd but okay.  Shang-Chi?  Not a "traditional" superhero, doesn't usually involve himself with the super-powered set, but I do like him and he is in it for a new challenge, so okay.   Eden Fesi is a wierd choice, farely obscure and mostly what he does is long-range group teleports.  Hulk is good for emergencies, as an on-call member, but he's not really a full-time team player.  As Cap said we all know how this story ends.  Wolverine, I like him but he's also co-leader of the Jean Grey School and the X-Men, you can't serve two masters, pick a team.  Smasher and Hyperion?  Where did these two come from?  She's apparently a Shi'ar super-soldier and he's not related to the previous two Hyperions seen.  They have no backstory, nothing to explain how they got on Cap and Iron Man's radar.  And lastly Captain Universe, that's not how the Uni-power works, it jumps into random people in times of need, it doesn't stick on one person and join a full-time team.

Personally I would've chosen different people.  If another one of Fury's Secret Warriors was to be chosen instead of Fesi I would've picked Druid, he just came into his own when the team got broken up.  Instead of Captain Universe I would've gone with Blue Marvel (but with a new name).  Instead of Hyperion and Smasher I would've gone with the Thunderbolts' Songbird and Mach V, the ex-villains have proven their worth and earned a place on the main team, and with Iron Man apparently taking an extended sabbatical into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy Mach V would be ideal as the replacement tech-guy.  And how about bringing in some older Avengers: Hellcat (in a new costume), Starfox, Photon, Hercules (in his new depowered identitiy, it'd even open up a story for later where the Avengers help him get his powers back), or Yellowjacket 2 (time to do something with the heroes brought back in Hercules' Chaos Wars).  Many more sensible choices than what they did.

I read Superior Spiderman #2 today and it was even worse than issue #1. I don't remember the last book I read with so much boring exposition in it.

spiderhero, I think that's kind of the point: inside Parkers body is Otto Octavius, super-genius supervillain, self-involved monologing is what he does. You're right though, it does make for a boring book.
