 they both need to come back to the big screen in big fashion at the right time no doubt, ...

 I agree with the general sentiment here that Daredevil should get another shot, and that Punisher can wait. I think they should bring back Daredevil in his own film, and introduce the Hand into the cinematic universe.

 I could see Mark Valley as either character...

@Warcry - I like that idea.

There have been some really great books, that I would that they would just pull off as a 13 episode series.

It would be great to see a short, but strong story done right.

"We’re trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now. Punisher could show up at one point. You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don’t want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time”. Take that Warner Bros., D.C. and everyone rushing to get any Justice League movie done rather than taking the time to do it right.

I put in ideas for the new Daredevil films. I even think that Stick should be played by Arnold Schwarzenegger as in Eraser he was ninja clothing. I haven't thought of ideas for this Punisher film.

These would both be excellent material for a cable series, Daredevil could be primetime like Arrow, but Punisher needs blood, death and f-bombs.  Either could work as a film, If the Punisher was done with the same skill and intensity as Dredd, it would rule.  Daredevil is trickier I think, but a proper version is something I've been dying to see my whole life, so yeah, I'm hoping they get it done no matter what format it's presented on!!

 @dnbritt

I actually think Purefoy would make a great Doctor Strange...

I can say, as the Punisher is one of two of my favorite characters, I'm not married to exclusively a feature or a series.  I will say this, the films have been tried and tried and tried again and it really hasn't cashed in either way.  Honestly, I do like Warcry's idea if they wanted to do it.  I mean, the Avengers is more mainstream.  If they wanted to do a series with smaller characters(something they've been successful at doing) like give characters a 10-12 episode arc and not have them or expect them to carry an entire series, they could do that.

My main concern of course is for them to get the character right, which they've struggled to do.  To be perfectly honest though, the actors themselves weren't to blame, but more writing and direction.  I actually think Ray Stevenson nailed it.  That was THE PUNISHER.  The film was just wacky though.  Thomas Jane could have pulled it off.  Really did okay in his short

I'd like for them to give Thomas Jane another chance. I always thought that the Punisher should have mentions and small supporting roles in all Marvel live action media. It's hard to sell a murdering psycho to the public no matter how sympathetic you try to make him. This has been proven in 3 movies. The Hulk worked in The Avengers because he appeared in measured doses.

Daredevil could start out as a mention and an appearance on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

 (cont.) but the feature was badly done.  The origin was nonsense and they purposely changed what shouldnt have been changed.

The thing is they can do a movie or tv series, the character has to be RIGHT though.  Hes not some cop going vigilante at night.  Hes not some DEA agent in Miami.  He's not out for revenge.  He's a soldier whose family was murdered senselessly.  He's out for punishment!  Plain and simple.  How its done is of no consequence to me.
