This looks as bad as The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren.
This is borderline Fantastic Four from the early 90's.
Thomas Jane's Punisher was based on a newer graphic novel and I thought it was fantastic. Shame they didnt do a sequel.

Lionsgate have released a second TV spot for the upcoming movie 'Punisher War Zone'.
The film, directed by Lexi Alexander, stars Ray Stevenson (HBO’s “Rome”) as The Punisher Frank Castle and Dominic West as Jigsaw. The film opens December 5th.
Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.
The new TV footage follows the previous TV spot, which was released on the web exclusively to Mania.com last week. Expect the 'War Zone' to intensify as we close in on December 5th. Visit PunisherWarZoneMovie.com for complete details about the film.

B/S !!!NEWER GRAPHIC NOVEL MY AZZ. LOL
At least we all know what direction lexi took this punisher from and thats the Max Series. Totally what most of us fans wanted. Gritty not so much polished the brutal punisher taking care of business.
No, it's true, The Thomas Jane Punisher movie(at least the whole neighbor subplot) was from a graphic novel written by Garth Ennis, not saying that made the basic storyline good, just that it was based on an actual comic, and was very very close in structure.
As far as this film goes.... I liked Thomas Janes Punisher, he had a definite bad ass credit but also had some personality as well, the Russian fight for me is a highlight of the film. The reason that fight is so great was because of the humor Jane brought to the role. His Frank seemed at least somewhat close to a real guy and I do wish they could have continued his story. Ray Stevenson, big guy, scary... just seems like a walking brick though, I'll watch the movie lets not kid ourselves but I don't have very high hopes for it, it just seems a little too much like a characiture of The Punisher.
Did nayone notice that during the new previews that they don't have the traditional Marvel banner up but instead they have a Marvel Knights banner up? I wonder if this is something they're going to continue? I know they said they weren't making anymore R rated Marvel movies but maybe they'll change their minds. They need to make a Moon Knight movie using Charlie Hudson's recent version of Moon Knight into an R rated movie. Hell, even a make it into a series on HBO with the guy that made The Shield at the helm. I for one think Shawn Ryan (The Shield guy I mentioned earlier) should make a Daredevil movie. Tell me I'm lying or crazy. That's a bad ass idea.
I flip flop on this movie. I didn't like Jigsaw in this preview. He sounded like a cartoon character from Roger Rabbit. I'm liking the Marvel Knights banner, though. Guess we'll wait & see.
Humor injected into the Punisher ? Jane was closer to the real guy?
What comics are you reading pal? LOL
I don't want humor in my punisher movie i want all out brutal attack - Punish the guilty - making people pay in light of what happend to frank and his family - why he was driven to drink and suicide. Ray's perfect - NO Mercy - NO stupid Humor! JUST ALL BUSINESS.
This is the Punisher - They got it right. It's Ny City - He's a ex Marine / Seal - Wife Kids killed in Central Park and He's fighting Jigsaw.
Jane was good but they ruined the whole story of the Punisher and made it too soft.
Im so ready for this new one. Ray makes a excellent Frank Castle ! Props to Lexi too !!!
