This really was the 1st "adult:" oriented show i ever reguarly watched. I started watching it when i was 12 or 13. I remember laughing so hard i would cry. I still watch it today, i own about half of the DVD's that are available out there of the show. In my opinion this is one of the best shows ever, especially if you are a fan of comedy and or sci-fi. I just wish they would come back, there are sooo many more bad movies out there. I know that Mike and Jim do the Riff trax, but its not the same as the show. I think there is a market for it and a petition needs to be signed and sent around to get them to come back!!! MST3K FOREVER!!!!

Rob, you magnificent bastard, getting to interview the MST3K boys!

How I envy you.

Great interview.  I just bought the 20th Anniversary set to add to my collection of all the MSTies that have been out on DVD.

One correction though. The new DVDs are released by Shout Factory!  They acquired the rights from Rhino earlier this year and this is their first release.  Tons of extras on the discs, which is awesome since most have only been a few here and there on the other releases.

I remember I stumbled upon this show on night around 2 or 3 am on Comedy Central.  I had to have been around 13 or 14 at the time as our cable company had only recently added Comedy Central.  It might have still been called the Comedy Channel or Comedy Network back then.  Anyway, I was hooked from those first few minutes.  I remember thinking, "What the HELL is this?"  It's freakin' brilliant!

ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALL-TIME SHOWS!!!!  I STILL HAVE A BOX FULL OF EPISODES I TAPED.  SO GLAD TO HEAR FROM SOME OF THE GUYS.  I WISH THEY WOULD GET BACK TOGETHER AND MAKE SOME MORE EPISODES!!!!!

While not exactly the same as MST3K, twomcs, you should check out www.rifftrax.com.  It's Mike, Kevin and Bill riffing on new movies.  You buy the mp3 rifftrax and sync it up to your DVDs.  It's pretty hiliarious.  Casino Royale is a favorite of mine.  Also, Joel, Trace, Frank, J. Elvis, and Mary Jo have a new similiar venture called Cinematic Titanic.  They bring back the silohoutte idea, but it the deck of boat instead of theater seats.  I believe these are DVDs you can purchase.  I haven't had the chance to check those out yet, but they look like good old MST3K!

Oh gosh, did I love that show. When the movie came out, a friend of mine brought it over, and that's when I first got into it. I've been hooked ever since. There's so many I haven't seen, and many of the Mike Nelson episodes are just as good as the Joel Hodgson ones. The in-between skits were better on the older ones, but I still enjoyed every minute of every show...except that Hamlet one they did with Nelson. Tough go, even for MST3K. So many classics though. I've got to get buying them on DVD. I also wish they'd return somehow. I wonder why they stopped? Anyone know? Just run out of gas? Just for the record, my wife loves that show too, and isn't a super huge sci-fi fan.
