Thespian Columbus Short gave the online media a few more details about an upcoming Screen Gems thriller called QUARANTINE. At the This Christmas press junket, the actor told Blackfilm that he will be starring alongside Jay Hernandez, Jennifer Carpenter, Steve Harris and Jonathan Schaech. The remake of the Spanish horror film REC was written & directed by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle.

Plot Concept: A downtown Los Angeles apartment building is quarantined after a mysterious deadly and highly contagious strain of rabies breaks out. A reporter and her cameraman are among those trapped inside.

Sounds like 28 Days in a building. I think you have a lot of possibilities for action and scares here. We'll see.

"Huh? Who said anything about homicidal maniacs?" Yeah, I guess I am jumping the gun a bit on what may happen. But I assume that those infected with the mysterious strain of rabies aren't just going to sit around with foaming mouths playing Uno.

Ah Quaratine. Nothing like sipping Pina Colada from an IV bag. Clean White rooms, fresh blankets, CDC on the TV. Ahhhhh thats the life. Suddenly....... Huh? Who said anything about homicidal maniacs?
