It's been a long time since Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) entered the world of supernatural horror. The wait is nearly over with Universal Pictures unveiling the first trailer for his horror film Drag Me to Hell. The film stars Alison Lohman, Justin Long, Lorna Raver, Jessica Lucas, David Paymer and Dileep Rao. Sam and his brother Ivan penned the script.

You can check out the new trailer here.

Plot Concept: Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home.

In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?

Drag Me to Hell will hit theaters May 29, 2009.

This is why you should always be nice to old ladies, espially ones with one fucked up eye. You just never know.

"Thinnnnnnnnnnnnner", oh wait different movie.

Yeah Sam Raimi and horror = peanut butter and jelly. Can't wait. Hopefully there's a Bruce cameo in there somewhere, it would just be icing on the cake.

We have to wait this long for a new Raimi movie and we get Justin Long (mac kid) as the costar? Maybe if we are lucky they will get the Oscar Myer kid for the sequel.

It's great to see Raimi getting back to his horror roots. Im also hoping that there's a Bruce Cambell cameo, it's just not a Sam Raimi movie without one.

Also, this is another reason why you don't piss off gypsises.

Excluding Alien every time a chick is the main character in a horror movie it's just because she looks pretty and she can scream through out the whole thing. That makes it hard for me to take it seriously because then it's just some date movie. I was looking forward to this but I wanted some Raimi chaotic horror. Well it's just a trailer.

Fuckin bummer man.

Looks pretty damn good....And Alison Lohman is a pretty good actress, so I think that will help alot, plus I am always down for Justin Long. Hope this is a good scare

Every time I saw the gypsy lady in the trailer I kept thinking, "You found me beautiful once." "Honey, you got real ugly."

...and that's not a bad thing. ;)

Saw this trailer the other day and man it is f'ed up!  That old bitch is CRAZY!  Looks terrifying and scary, which is good instead of just gore.  Also looks like it might have a creepy vibe to it too.  And please let's hope this is an R rated movie.  I'm so over all these PG13 "horror movies" that are out nowadays.  Some were good but it seems the horror genre is getting oversaturated with PG13 movies lately.

darkheart, exactly what I was thinking. I'm there though it looks pretty damn good anyway.
