RATATOUILLE Cooks Competition in DVD

Disney & Pixar continued the success with their latest effort, RATATOUILLE. The film, starring Patton Oswalt and Ian Holm, has been beating the competition at the International Box Office race over the last month and has just debuted at #1 in its domestic DVD release here in the states. According to the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, the adventures of Remy easily led the way in sales for the week ending November 11. Chuck & Larry followed behind in second place while last week's champion, Spider-Man 3, dropped to third.

In the rental race, Chuck & Larry leads the pac, pulling in 9.3 million in rentals over the last week. Spider-Man 3 followed closely behind with another 8 million in rental receipts. Ratatouille debuted at No. 3 with $7.6 million. Deck the Halls was No. 4 with $6.2 million.

Transformers remained at the top of the HD DVD sales chart, while Ratatouille was at No. 1 on the Blu-ray Disc chart.

Ratatouille opened up in 3,940 theaters on June 29, 2007, pulling in 47.0 million in box office receipts. It's domestic run ended at 205.9 million but it has grossed another 388.5 million in foreign sales over the last two months.
