I have to agree on the Cruise comment. In real life he may be super strange, but he can act. Also, they should have nailed Aeon Flux to the wall. No nominations for that suckfest!!! I duth protest!

I agree with most of those choices, although I disagree with Doom, War of the Worlds, and Star Wars Episode III being on the list, but everything on there deserves to be. Also Dukes of Hazzard doesn't need to be on the list, it was stupid but it was a stupid kind of funny. I plan on buying Doom next week, because although it wasn't a perfect film, it was enjoyable.

I also have to agree that Cruise doesn't belong there. I really think he's just been getting slammed because of his off-screen wackiness, which is probably why Katie Holmes got nominated as well (her performance in Batman wasn't great, but I didn't think it was distractingly awful either). Dukes of Hazzard wasn't as bad as the critics would have you believe. It was a fun, mindless action comedy. Not great of course, but consider the fact that the source material was also a fun, mindless action comedy TV show, so what were people expecting? Bewitched was a much worse TV show adaptation. The premise was clever, but dear god, who picked Will Ferrell for this movie? Ferrell had anti-chemistry with Kidman. He did OK playing a jerk, but it was impossible to see what Kidman's character found appealing in him. He truly deserves to win the Worst Actor award. I didn't think House of Wax was all that bad either - it was really no better or worse than most of the year's horror movies. Paris Hilton does deserve her Worst Actress, but I really doubt the movie would have been chosen among the worst if her role had been played by a less irritating celebrity (I can't call her an actress). There were worse horror movies out there, The Ring 2 being one example. If the Razzies had a category for worst visual effects, it could have won that too for the laughably fake deer scene. I am surprised that there were no nominations for Stealth. I don't think it deserved it - it was a stupid yet fun action movie (see Dukes of Hazzard), but I'm surprised it was omitted just because it took such a beating both by the critics and at the box office last summer. I recall that movie pundits were heralding the rejection of Stealth as a sign that movie goers were finally sending a Hollywood a message that they would not pay to watch mindless formula movies. Fortunately, Big Momma's House 2 just proved that isn't the case.

As a graphic designer, I would love to see awards/dishonor awards for movie titles as well. They help set the tone for the movie and are meant to reflect the style of the movie, yet some are way off.

There's absolutely no reason for Nora Ephron, John Asher, Jay Chandrasekhar, or Lawrence Guterman to be nominated for worst director... 'Cause everyone knows Ewe Boll is going to take the prize. How he has a career is beyond me.

war of the worlds was preaty good. i enjoyed the closure of stars wars 3. i just think tom cruise and his cray scientolgy colt are very annoying.
