WALKING DEAD Sizzler Online

In case you missed it: the extended clip reel from AMC TV's The Walking Dead is now online. This is the same footage that was shown at Comic-con and bootlegged online shortly thereafter. This version is your first official, good quality look at the show. The 90 minute series premiere happens Sunday, October 31, 10PM ET & PT/9 PM CT. Enjoy!

GHOST RIDER 2 to Film in Romania

Hotnews.ro reports that Nic Cage and company are headed to Romania to film Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance this fall for Columbia pictures. The word comes from Marketing Manager at Castel Film, Bogdan Moncea.

They also state that the movie will be shot in 3D, the first to film there. It's also the country's first major American film since Cold Mountain in 2002.

IRON MAN Make Paramount a Box Office Winner

Paramount has trounced the competition at the box office this summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter with the comic-based Iron Man 2 being their biggest success. The movie raked in over $312 million. Shrek Forever After lent a hand with another $237 million.

Paramount's slate accounts for some 20% of the summer season with runner-up Disney taking 16%. That balance will obviously shift Disney's way in coming years as the Marvel money-makers expire from the Paramount distribution deal and come fully under the Mouse House roof.

Cameraon Says BATTLE ANGEL Before AVATAR 2....Maybe

Movie mogul James Cameron told MTV Splash Page that his long-discussed, forever-in-development film version of Battle Angel Alita could actually be on the horizon. With the blockbuster success of Avatar many are presuming he'll do a sequel to that first. Another possibility is another undersea movie called The Dive, but the director says he hasn't made a decision yet.

"There's 'X' amount of time available, and I do want to do another Avatar film — probably two — and I'm talking to Fox about that now," he added. "There's a strong possibility that I might insert one of these other movies in between before I do that. It's all up in the air right now."

Regardless, the experience of making Avatar benefits the special-effects heavy Battle Angel movie.

"The mixture of live-action and CG is a little trickier in 3-D than it is 2-D," Cameron told MTV News. "Now we see it's good to have done Avatar first before Battle Angel, because the tricky scenes are where you're blending live-action photography, stereoscopic photography and CG."

PRIEST More STAR WARS Than TRUE BLOOD

Fans are feeling so fatigued by vampires that they'll actually pay to see a movie like Vampires Suck, but Scott Stewart, director of the manhwa-based Priest says his blood-sucker tale is pretty far removed from fare like Twilight or True Blood.

"The priests of our story are like Jedi knights," Stewart told MTV News. "They have these supernatural abilities to fight vampires and they saved humanity before the movie even begins. Now, a generation later, society has moved on from war, and the priests are like pariahs. They're almost like Vietnam vets — they've been cast aside by society and they're now reviled and feared."

Add to that the fact that the movie is set in a "big apocalyptic landscape that is entirely futuristic." Clearly you're not going to see a bunch of sex, brooding undead in this one.

However fans will have to wait until next May when Priest, starring Paul Bettany is released.

I love hearing Cameron talking like that.  No matter what the guy is going to stay busy making movies for the foreseeable future which is good for all movie fans.

Red looks like a very entertaining movie. My wife actually told me she wants to see that before I did based on a preview we saw.

I wasn't paying attention enough to Walking Dead so finding out its a series makes it very interesting. I'll be adding that to my DVR for sure.

Ernest Borgnine is in RED? This movie was high on the list but that just shot it to the top!

I hope Cameron takes on Avatar 2 or Battle Angel, both of which I'd love to see. The Dive can take a backseat IMO but since it's probably the quickest of the 3 that can be filmed I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with that one as sort of a breather between the others which are all very technical and require lots of post production. Then on to AVATAR 2 and 3 which he says would be filmed back to back

Ghost Rider 2, hope they have a better story than the first which I enjoyed but could and should have been so much better

Looking forward to PRIEST next year

Walking Dead looks great.

Priest sounds cool and Looking forward to Ghost Rider 2 nick cage was fine as johnny blaze.

Don't give a dam about Avatar 2 , Cam should just make 3 more future terminator movies and call it a day.

Red - not interested.

I would prefer Avatar 2 over Battle Angel. But Knowing Cameron, The Dive would probably be a great movie. Im curious what its about.

Hobbs 8/25/2010 9:15:35 AM

Tevil, The Dive is a about Pippin Ferreras and Audrey Mestre who were married and were both record breaking deep freedivers.  Audrey Mestre died in 2002 trying to break the world record.   Cameron has his love of the water so that fits right up his alley.  Just nothing blowing up or ships sinking in this one.

Red looks like another fun movie like the Losers. That's cool but, why haven't we seen more hero movies? I know Green Lantern is out next year, Batman and  Superman the year after. What about Flash and Wonder Woman? It dosent mater what Cam does next. What ever it is it will be good. I can't wait for Walking Dead! Oh and one more thing.... Who ever it was that thought Nic Cage should have been brought back for Ghot Rider 2, should have his ass kicked. Part of the reason the first one sucked was Cage. Don't get me wrong. I like Cage and a lot of his movies. I just didn't like him in Ghostrider.

I want BA:A for Cameron before Avatar 2. I have been waiting for it for about 17 years.

Walking Dead is going to rock.

I can give a $hit less about Ghost Rider.

Cannot wait to see Priest.

I guess the Paramount thing makes sense only because Avatar was released Dec 18th 09.

silversurfer 8/25/2010 10:06:35 AM

RED looks funny...it should be entertaining! That may have to get a look-see at the movies....

Wyldstaar 8/25/2010 2:44:00 PM

I've been reading stories about Cameron doing Battle Angel as his next film for almost twenty years.  I'm not going to take anything regarding it seriously until I see a trailer at this point.
