Do we really need another Red Sonja movie? The first one was a total piece of shit. Why can't Hollywood come up with something original?

'Red Sonja' plot details revealed! Video goes behind the scenes of 'Watchmen'. Frank Miller shows you the lovely ladies of 'The Spirit'. Whispered like Sunday morning vespers, it's your Comics2Film news roundup for November 16th!
The Movieset blog roamed the aisles of the recent American Film Market and scored this poster of Rose McGowan in costume and make up for the 'Red Sonja' movie. It looks very similar to artwork that was unveiled at Comic-Con earlier this year.
They also scored a one sheet summarizing the storyline for the film.
Although the pair are splitsville, the poster indicates that ex-boyfriend Robert Rodriguez is still the director of the film.

Anyone catch the new Batman toon? I thought the action was pretty good, but the voice acting was a bit lacking (especially from Blue Beetle).
Funny that people complain when they make good movies but when they remake shitty ones they bitch too. I don't see what the big fuss is if they remake a movie or not. If you don't want it to ruin the 'canon' that you built up in your mind...um, don't go see it. Some movies need remakes and Red Sonja is definitely in the top ten or twenty. And if you ask me; if something started out as something that's not a movie (ie. comic, book) then it's not necessarily a remake. I mean I wouldn't call Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a remake of Will Wonka by any means, if you know what I mean. So, this Red Sonja isn't really going to be a remake or even sequel of the other crappy one. Hell, that's like saying Batman Begins is a remake of Tim Burton's Batman. Wow, I somehow managed two Tim Burton references by accident.
Oh, yeah, Rose McGowan in itsy bitsy clothes. I don't care if they remake the the original Red Sonja shot for shot. I'd still beat...I mean watch it.
Red Sonja's actually going to have a plot? Does anyone really care if it does? I mean it's Red Sonja. Dress her in some tiny outfit, give her a sword and let her kick ass. With Rodriguez producing I'm sure the movie will be fun, and of course, McGowan's always nice to look at.
Watchman's going to be fantastic, but you know Moore's going to piss venom all over it to whomever will listen (there's a shcok, right?). Legions of fanboys will be upset because of this or that not being in the movie or changed for cinematic effect (like the ending from what I've read). I like everything I've seen so far and look forward to seeing the movie.
I have no desire to see The Spirit. I know Eisner and his creation are legend, but I found it pretty drab and sub-par. Sure, it's had a huge effect on the comic world, but I don't find it all that interesting. The only reason to see it, for me, would be all of the hot women co-stars.
Ugh. Hearing some MTV TRL wanna be host say "Who watches the watchmen.". I think I just threw up a bit in my mouth. Heh.
