That Army video with MOS was freakin' awesome!
I'd think he'd have to play the villian in this flick, just my opinion, but I can't see him playing Toxie, just too old.
I actually liked the finale for Enterprise even if Troi and Riker were showing their age. Still it was a cool idea to bring in the show continuity, though I can understand how some feel like the main cast was cheated as guest stars, I suppose.
Actually, that whole final season was really damned good with all the arcs that helped tie up loose ends in the continuity of the whole of Trek.
Can't f'n wait for this. Goyer's screen writing, with a little bit of push from Nolan and then Snyder's vision and how he brings comic book source material to life is simply awesome even if Sucker Punch awful, I give Snyder a pass since he did such a marvelous job on 300 and Watchmen.
So far, I don't think I have seen any of these flicks meantioned in the "Summer of '83" series. Granted, I was 2-3 years old at that point, but I'm pretty sure I had seen everything listed in the "Summer of '82" series.
Always found Hook to be entertaining, surely not Steven's best but not the worst he's done. As Hanso pointed out with AI, but I'll throw in a little steaming turd that had something to do with a Crystal Skull, I believe. Anyone here recall what the movie was?
lusphur, can't believe it's already the end of the season again either. What's that like 6 episodes this half? And now only another 3 for Game of Thrones too. Damn it all!
Been hearing the Brainac rumors for sometime now. That tentacle thing in the trailer last month had me thinking Brainac.
As for this spot, the only thing I can say is:
Heat Vision!!! Hells yeah!
It started out okay but just lost my attention 30 minutes in. May be the combo of Julianne Moore and Clive Owen. I can tolerate either of them in small does like Sin City and The Big Lebowski but I can't really buy them in leading roles.
Well, Kara, I don't know if I'm in the minority now or not. I still couldn't stand Leena's character (she just never seemed to serve any purpose) and I'm glad they didn't find some "artifacty" way of bringing her back. Though having said that, I think the character finally has served her purpose which by keeping her deceased adds a bit of gravity that this show has never really had because of all the times main characters have "died" only to be brought back to life. Perhaps that was Leena's purpose the whole time, or just dumb luck by the writing staff. Though I didn't care for Leena, her video signature scene with Artie worked and gave us some good emotional acting moments with Saul Rubinek.
I did notice that the artifact this week wasn't given any backstory, but I don't think that's always necessary either. Sure, it's really cool when they have stuff like "Shakespeare's Toothpick" or whatever it is, but sometimes, they don't need it when the real thrust of an episode is on the emotional development between the characters and not the artifact of the week.
Looking forward to see where they go with Marster's "Big Bad" character this season. Should be fun.
Now that Eureka's gone, this is one of the few fun, adventure Sci-Fi shows on SyFy anymore. I've been watching Defiance so far, but it were cancelled tomorrow, I wouldn't be broken up about it.

I think I might even have a couple of those old Toxie cartoon action figures in storage.
