Sony has unveiled that it will be ignoring the usual fall attitude of studios and adopting a more summer style of release with their upcoming 3rd installment of RESIDENT EVIL:EXTINCTION. The plan is to release some of their prints at midnight or more precisely, 12:01 am on Friday, September 21, 2007. Normally, this kind of release is delegated to only summer releases or holiday (fall-winter) releases. Right now, the plan is for 150 prints to be opening at midnight but check your local theater listings, they made add more to the list. The film stars Milla Jovovich(Alice), Oded Fehr(Carlos), Ali Larter(Claire Redfield), Iain Glen(Dr. Isaacs), Ashanti(Betty), Chris Egan, Spencer Locke, Jason O'Mara and Mike Epps(L.J)...

Plot Concept: Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead...

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION hits theaters everywhere September 21, 2007.

Looking forward to seeing Milla kick some more zombie butt (Ali Larter too)! I don't think there are any early showings in my neck of the woods, so I'll just have to wait for Saturday afternoon (have to go to see "Good Luck Chuck" Friday night).

This movie looks like amazing fun. I love the first two. They are just fun mindless movies that have good eye candy,,,,effectswise and Milliawise......Also, it is good to see Russel Mullchay back directing something big.

This method isn't exactly new to the Resident Evil franchise. I got free tickets to a midnight show of Apocalypse when it first came out, so it makes sense that Screen Gems will do the same with Extinction.

Got em from a radio station. A local radio station around here has a reward system where you can turn in points for advanced movie showing and such.
