Deadline Confirms Role

Jim Carrey, the Riddler himself, has been set to play the role of The Colonel in the Jeff Wadlow-directed sequel Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall. Deadline's Mike Fleming broke this news August 20 when Carrey had the offer to play a guy who helps galvanize the team of misfit super heroes assembled to fight evil. Believe it or not the news arrived over Twitter. The sequel reunites Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage (Cameo? Flashback? Ghost? Clone?). It is said that Carrey is a big fan of Matthew Vaughn and the first Kick-Ass film.
