A replacement drummer has yet to be announced. The band also recently signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. The band's first effort for Napalm will be released in the spring of 2008. Production on the CD is tentatively scheduled to begin next fall. Four songs have already been written and Edenbridge will work with a renowned Czech orchestra for the first time in its career.

The band’s fifth album, The Grand Design, was released in the U.S. on January 30 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Shine" was recorded at The Farpoint Station studio in Austria and the Thin Ice facility in England with Threshold mastermind Karl Groom.
