We tour boss encounters in the first three chapters of RE5.

Sometimes there are games so ridiculously awesome that all of us over here at TotalPlayStation.com can't help but gush about 'em outside our site. Since we know nobody wants to read two massive articles, though, we figured we'd give you, guys a chance to get a more condensed version of our full (and much longer) version -- think of it as an at-a-glance look at what we thought, but not so short that you won't get a general idea of where we're going. Handy, no?
 
Ever since Code Veronica, the third Resident Evil game, the series has been shifting away from its survival horror roots and progressing more toward an action game feel. The fifth game continues that trend (and then some), throwing original RE star Chris Redfield into the arid, crowded climes of Africa. He's not alone; Sheva, a British-accented hottie, knows her local digs well and comes along for the ride. 
 
It's more than just having a familiar face around all the time, though; RE5 shifts what was once a solitary experience into a full cooperative one -- online or off -- encouraging teamwork, inventory management and a couple of collaborative moments with plenty of tension. We explore the first three levels of the full game and report back with some of our experiences in plenty of detail over at TotalPlayStation.com.

Nice, except the 3rd resident evil game was, Resident Evil 3!

 I can't wait! Can anyone tell me if they know, for a fact, if there will be Co-Op on the same console, or will Co-Op ONLY be online? I can't seem to find this info and it's frustrating me to know!

Oh I can tell you... co-op... on one screen. and its frickin' GLORIOUS. I've played the demo to death (heh). Damn that chainsaw man! If you have a 360 or PS3, DL the demo NOW. I mean... right, now. GO!

Yep, same screen co-op.  Not even split screen, but the game makes two individual screens on your TV.  Awesome.  I seriously cannot wait.  Between this, Killzone 2 and Halo Wars, I'm going to be broke by the middle of march.  I'm going to go play GTA The Lost and the Damned before work, but seriously, download this demo, and F.E.A.R. 2 if you haven't played that yet.

Thanks GhaleonZero, I will go download the demo today! With my life being crazy, I totally forgot it was available! I feel embarrassed that I forgot! I can't wait for this; I really don't want to think about how sad the world would be if it didn't have RE. :)

 Scytheofluna, I just beat F.E.A.R 2 last night. It was awesome.
