The Revolution Map

A look at the future

By Robert T. Trate     October 18, 2012
Source: Entertainment Weekly

Fans of NBC’s Revolution got quick glance this week of what the United States looks like 15 years after the blackout. Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (and Chopsaki) here is that map, again, for you viewing pleasure. Now we here at Mania know it is just TV series, but who surveyed all of the United States to get this information? They certainly didn’t use a satellite to get this picture... or did they?

Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.

I still need to catch up with this series.  I watched the first ep and have the rest DVR'd.  May be my weekend project.

Good question of how they got the map done.  I guess the same way early explorers made maps.  By travelling and drawing what you see.  Also, there may have been some sort of "let's divide up the country" meeting amonst the leaders and this is what they came up with.  Who knows.  It seems like a minor thing, but we'll see what comes of it.

cool i think it adds another layer of depth to the overall story. Im betting the issue of the other republics will become a larger issue as the series progresses and a possible reunification of the usa may be a storyline

Who surveyed the US to get this information?

Probably Canada since they didn't seem affected.

Is that a district called wasteland or a region that is a wasteland?  Usually everyone claims as much land as possible even if it is not hospitable.  Look at northern Canada for instance, lot of space, low population.  It also looks like the surfers have claimed western BC.

So I guess the Wasteland is probably runned by the Lord Humungus. :)

I love how political borders are supposed to have been redrawn and yet Canada is still Canada.

Correction:  The only part of Canada the Americans wanted was British Columbia.

Americans can take Toronto if they like. Good luck with Quebec, they are pretty anal about the French language.

It looks as though the Maritime Provinces are part of the Monroe Republic.  And who in their right mind would want Quebec?

ElBaz, of course Canada was not effected.  Us Canadians have been trained to survive  WW3, Nuclear Winter and Zombie Apocolypses since childhood up here in Canada.  Do you really think a small power outage would phase us....psssh 15 years is nothing, just feels like an extended camping trip to us.  ;)
