Some full body images of Ryan Reynolds in his CG costume as Green Lantern have made their way online courtesy of BreakingNewsUSA. Check out some of the shots down below and sound off with your thoughts on the look of the costume.

The film stars Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi and Jon Tenney. Director Martin Campbell led from the helm, based on a screenplay by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Goldenberg.

Plot Concept: In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds). Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Green Lantern will fly into 3D/2D theaters June 17, 2011.

Don't like the boots.

He's got the right body, but the voice and personality are gonna take getting used to, I just never pictured green lantern as the way Reynolds will be playing him.  Cooper may have been a better choice, but at least it's not Timberlake!  I second the dislike of the feet......

Four credited screenplay writers?  You've got to figure that for every credited writer, there's at least one other whose contributions were deemed to be unimportant by the arbitrary standards of Hollywood.  How is anyone supposed to film a cohesive story with so many writers trying to put their own personal stamp onto it?

Mask looks as fake as it is & the boots show his toes which I don't understand. The rest of the design is solid, I just wish it were real & not CG.

I really, really hoping this was a full body costume of Deadpool....   =T

JarrodSarafin 4/12/2011 3:14:41 PM

Haha, I put "GL" at the end of the title to stop such confusion, Violator...Just for you. I like the wishful thinking that he's still in to play the Deadpool character though. :)

ugh, you can see his toes, i really dont like that painted on costume look, love green lantern, little dissapointed though

madmanic999 4/12/2011 3:28:38 PM

Hate the toes.... wonder if you can see his nut sack too

I've supported the costume this whole time... but yeah not liking the toes. But the costume doesn't make the movie... and certainly toe boots don't.

IO LOVE it! A new take on a classic theme. I think it's very original way to go.

The toes weird me out, but I have a feeling they wont be that noticable.

I've loved every aspect of this since the beginning! I'm psyched for this film
