Higgy - Christopher Lambert was Scottish either. The only Scotsman above the credits was Connery and he was playing an Egyptian.

I guess instead of letting this franchise simply fade away, they decided to kill it. Decapitation style...
Finally, Cinescape...er...Mania. Uh anyway this is horrible casting. He just doesn't fit the part. Maybe if they cast him as Richie Ryan or something. If they want to reboot Highlander just create yet another MacLeod (I think there are like 4 already?) and give him his own universe to mess around with. I understand with creating immortals you can really have the same person playing the role for that long without it being hard to suspend disbelief. Eh, blah. I've been complaining all over the internet about this. I'm tired. I'm ready to move on to the ridiculousness that is the Robocop reboot WITH A DIFFERENT SUIT!!?? Funk dat.
Yes this makes perfect sense. After the 'sucess' that was Green Lantern, why not give Ryan Reynolds another franchise to piss on!!!!
I could list at least 10 other actors that could do this role more justice than Ryan Reynolds. Yet in typical Hollywood fashion, they give it to the 'It' guy of the moment.
Well there's another franchise down the toilet....at least there's still the original, true, one and only MacCleod to go back to.

I really can't think of an actor I'd rather see less than Ryan Reynolds. You can tell when he's in genre fare that he's just not that into it, so why keep casting him in these types of roles. If they want to ruin Highlander, this is the way to do it.

Yeah...Ryan Reynolds doesn't really look Scottish. Not to mention I can't wait to hear his accent if he has one. Hopefully if this happens they do it right this time. Every Highlander movie has been so weird. The only good one is the show.
