Actress Christina Ricci chatted up IESB.net about her role as Trixie in the upcoming 'Speed Racer' movie.
"[Directors] Larry and Andy [Wachowski] wanted to make a film that was very much about the underdog and about staying true to who you are and what you believe in. That’s really what Speed is going through in Speed Racer,” Ricci said.
“I get to play a really awesome, strong girl that I think people will really like," she continued, referring to Speed's gal Friday, Trixie. "She’s pretty much the girl I always wanted to be. She fights, she kung-fu fights, she does gymnastics, she races, she flies a helicopter. But she has a special outfit for each activity and is still incredibly girly and always has lipstick on. That is what I hope that all when felt is completely in their rights to do.”
