Rider Strong returning for "Cabin Fever 2"

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rider Strong will return to play Paul in the upcoming sequel, Cabin Fever 2.

The film finds Strong's character, Paul, alive and well and living in fear of his life.  Giuseppe Andrews will return as the oddball Deputy Winston, who dumped the ill Paul in a stream at the end of the 2003 original. In the sequel, the killer virus comes out of the woods and has a date at the high school prom.

Noah Segan, Alexi Wasser, Marc Senter and Rusty Kelley all play new potential victims.  Principle Photography is now underway.


KJ's Take:  Yawn.  I think we all agree this movie should be ignored?  So it's settled then?

yeah pretty much. I finally watched the last one (or part of it) when it aired on Sci/fi channel. its a killer flesh eating bacteria virus.. blah blah blah... hmm. didnt Carrie and Carrie 2 both do the High School Prom theme? boring. I think miners, loggers or drudgers would be more common in the woods than a high school prom. Yawn.

I always liked the title "Cabin Fever" for a horror film. It just sounds good. I've seen the first movie twice... and I'm not sure why. It's one of those movies that if it's on TV... you just keep it on... and it's not even that great. Same thing with Hostel. The concepts were both good... but the execution (forgive the pun) was what was lacking. It did put Eli Roth's phone number on Tarantino's fave-five though.

well the first one was horrendously funny, and not in the good way. and this one screams straight to dvd all over it..... yeap, pretty much will skip this one and hostel 2

Took long enough! Cabin Fever was awesome. This should have been made before Hostel. Eli Roth is still directing, right?

You said it KJ, this movie brings out the sleep in me. The first was a real dissappointment. Why make a sequel with an even worse premise?

narpin... you are DAMN RIGHT!!!!.... come on folks this was no classic but it was original, funny (intentionally at times), gore filled and made on a shoestring budget. I enjoyed it for what it was... f#$% the mainstream.
