The second volume in the Conclave of Shadows book series, KING OF FOXES.
Rescued, recruited, and trained by the mysterious order of magicians and spies, the Conclave of Shadows, young Tal Hawkins made a vow of revenge against those responsible for the slaughter of his people. After killing the leader of the army that raized his village, Tal had made his way to the court of Kaspar, the Duke of Olasko, to bring an end to the man who gave the order that forever changed his life. Posing as a nobleman, Tal must find a way to bring himself into the trust of the Duke and avoid the skeptical eyes of Kaspar's necromancer if he is to have his revenge. But will the cost of Tal's victory be his soul?
That's the premise of Raymond E. Feist's KING OF FOXES
, the second volume in the author's "Conclave of Shadows" quadrilogy. Feist, the creator of the popular fantasy novels of the Riftwar and Serpentwar sagas, returns to the magical world of Midkemia but is expanding his world by setting the action in this series in the Eastern Kingdoms, a land that hasn't been greatly explored in Feist's earlier novels. That's not to say that none of Feist's characters from the Riftwar books make an appearance (the magician Pug is one we see in the new novel) but this is a new group of heroes and villains for readers to get to know, full of duplicity and danger.KING OF FOXES
has just been published in hardback and retails for $24.95 from Eos. If you missed the first volume in the series, TALON OF THE SILVER HAWK
, it has just been released in paperback.Got a scoop? Know something that you need to tell us about? Send it to us!
