I have the Sandman comics and have always been a big fan of those....it would be cool to do them if done correctly....I agree with him saying that it would have to be LOTR in scale....

I'm laughing at Wiseguy saying that Darkman is Rami's Shadow....I also liked Alec Baldwin as the Shadow...I'm not sure how it would translate though....The Spirit came out and that stank to high heaven...I don't think that the time is right to bring something out that looks strangely like something that didn't do so well so soon?

Zac Effron wouldn't be bad as Spidey, but my question is this: If you're going to go with someone that's younger, wouldn't he be too old? I don't think he would do a bad job, I just don't think that he or the franchise needs the exposure? He is under contract for Disney, so I don't think it will be long before we see him in somthing for Marvel though...it would just make sense; but not this.

Holy crap.  I didn't realize it but I said - Vaughn's Sandman could kick ass.  Ha, ha.  I didn't even mean that pun.

gauley, I thought you were already checked out of anything Spidey since Raimi left. I know you said you wouldn't support the reboot so why do you care who's cast you weren't goin g to see it allready. Or were you just blowing steam and now are going to pooh pooh all Spidey news and rumors

Anyway since you still believe Stacy was Peter's first love because it's a better known story  now I take your opinions with a grain of salt.

Yeah I'm gonna totally $hit all over the Spidey re-boot. It's turning out to be the steaming pile I thought it would if this casting rumor is true.

AND EVERYONE who is a spiderman fan (would not like Effron for Parker, he's too fukking prettyboy cool to play parker) KNOWS Betty Brant = First Girlfriend, Gwen Stacy = First True Love...

not because it's a better known story, because it's spider-FACT

nuff said ;)

We're gonna have to have a geek off (ala the showdown from Zoolander)

If Zac does this movie I will not see it.

Money matters in every phase of production and drawing on the beach all day instead of cutting to the chase will cost some jobs. This guy has had more time than Jon Favreau who acts, writes, directs and does a lot more.

It would be nice to get a Hulk and Pym movie right before Avengers.

Wiseguy 2/1/2010 5:35:49 PM

Ok so now that you won't see it that'll be 700million minus $10.50 which equals $699,999,989.50. Yeah I think Sony'll be ok with that. Nevermind that I'm calling BULLSHIT on all that say that they won't see it and are comic book fans.

Sandman is by far the most underrated character in the DC universe. Super interesting reads. The comic is  one of the most fun & creative looks at the underworld. Sandman's sister is death. Sandman rules dreamworld. Would love to see a movie. Love the one where he pretty much talks his way out of hell and 1000s of the devil's minions. The Shadow was one of my favorites growing up. More action and violence sounds glorious.

Dude, you really don't have to be a jackass about it...

I don't thik your religion (Avatar) is the greatest movie ever by any means, BUT i don't harsh on your parade, even though your love of Avatar is borderline obnoxious.

Why do you have to come down on me and MANY others who aren';t on board with this crap they're gonna pass off as a Spiderman movie...

I'm pretty open minded about most things, but I can assure you I have a bad felling about this movie and is smells bad already.

Besides I LOVE , FUKKING LOVE spiderman and I spent at least $80 on Spideman 1 in the theaters, Sony wants every dollar they can scratch up, and I do have friends that arent comic fans that ask me about comic movies before they go see it. I'm sure we all do, so in that respect fans do have an impact.

Not a huge one, but an impact nonetheless...
