For the first time ever, fans of The Lord of the Rings can view exclusive blooper footage at the The One Ring Celebration. The ORC will take place at the Pasadena Center in Pasadena, California from Friday, January 20th through Sunday, January, 22nd.

The only official LOTR convention is an opportunity for fans from around the globe to celebrate Peter Jackson's film interpretation of Tolkien's classic tales. Throughout the weekend, stars from the films including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Miranda Otto and John Noble will meet with fans who will be transported to Middle earth while experiencing educational and entertaining workshops and seminars that cover all aspects of Tolkien lore. The BLOOPERS will be shown all three days of the convention.

PJ's King Kong was awesome! I wouldnt mind seeing him remake/reimagine Son of Kong (that was a horrible movie) either since he could really do justice to and improve on the original source material.

Kong was good. I would like to see PJ move on and do "The Hobbit" or "The Silmarillion". If anyone can do it... PJ can!

Sorry Iracors, I'd love to see it too, but no one could do the Silmirillion. It would be a 24 hour movie. They might do a section of it, but not the whole thing, nor would it even flow as a single movie, and sure someone could do it in parts, but not all the parts relate or even have continuity. He wrote the material over many many years and he changed the stories so many times. His son ended up putting it together in the end, and he missed a lot of "mistakes" (or rather J.R.R.'s different changes over the years.) I did enjoy the silmarillion, loved it in fact, but not sure it would make a good movie. It's to much like a history book. Bring on The Hobbit.

Peter Jackson was staying true to the original version with the scene of Ann Darrow "entertaining" King Kong. Check the original if you don't believe me. It's in there.

...going back to "The Silmarillion" I agree that it should be done in parts. You have have the beginning with the awakening of the Elves in one film and their encounters with these godlike beings (the Valinar) then wrapping up with the deception of Morgoth and the stealing of the Silmarills and distruction of the trees. The world plunged into darkness. The 2nd can show the wars against Morgoth and his final overthrow. The 3rd film can show the rise to power of Numinor and how Sauron decieved them culminating in the creation of the rings. It would be perfect!!! Jackson can do this!!! I have faith!!!
