Check out the extended TV spot for R.I.P.D. What we here at Mania want to know is, is the comic worth the read? We had never heard of R.I.P.D. until the movie trailer arrived. What is your opinion on the Dark Horse Comic?

The Plot: Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

R.I.P.D. features Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, Robert Knepper, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mike O'Malley, and Devin Ratray.

R.I.P.D. arrives July 19th, 2013 from Universal Pictures.

that looks... very bad. the cgi looks the a hot poop that don't want to flush; after the water drains, it just looks up at you and glistens...

I'm actually checing this out opening weekend. Not expecting greatness, just some fun, a few smiles, a few laughs and lots of eye candy

I agree with Wiseguy.  It looks like it could be fun.  A bit MIBish, but takes itself even less seriously.

Looks like mindless drivel that I can appreciate...

Well, sure didn't take them very long to come out with Men In Black 4.

The fact that Ryan Reynolds put this on his schedule before Deadpool is my main bitch about this movie, although there are several other reasons to be less than excited (insert MiB joke here).  I never would have thought that Jeff Bridges would be one of them though, he is generally, the Man.  I gotta say though, I hate the voice he's doing in this trailer.  As much as I admire the actor, not sure I could subject myself to 86 minutes of that "accent"...or speech impediment.

I wonder why they recasted Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith for MIB 4?
