According to Variety, Tim Robbins & Martin Landau have joined the thriller/fantasy CITY OF EMBER for 20th Century Fox. They join Bill Murray, Toby Jones, Saoirse Ronan (she was cast in THE LOVELY BONES yesterday), Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Harry Treadaway
Story Premise: Ember centers on an insular place where the only light comes from street lamps. As the power source begins to fail, two teens search for clues that will unlock ancient mysteries about the city.
Fox is planning the release of this film for October 10, 2008. Playtone's Gary Goetzman and Tom Hanks are producers.
