Manny Coto would have been a better choice. He has a much better grasp of the material and story.

Just get us a new Star Trek TV series already, set in the original timeline, 15 years after Nemesis.  Start it fresh - this alternate timeline - movies and comics included - are just rehashing and respinning original series episodes and concepts.  Let's have a new crew - Enterpise or the Titan, and throw in cameos from TNG, DS9, and Voyager crews.  The old die hard-Trekkies will support it - get Trek back on the media where it truly thrived - small screen TV!

Im with you Modo, Trek need to come back to TV, that were it has been good(well, mostly). I think it was Goerge Lucas in an old interview that said time travel is used to tell a storie within a storie, and Star Wars will never do that, thats because its LAME.

Iridan 5/14/2014 4:21:41 AM

I agree. Time travel is lame. It has been played to death, especially in Trek. Time for a new series.

And I'm not big on some dude making his directorial debut with the next Trek movie.

Some form of TV show would be great, if Falling Skies can survive four seasons Star Trek can do more.

 I agree with Modo

The first rebooted film was mediocre, Into Darkness was a unwatchable mess of rehashed and recycled concepts from the original series.

Yup, Modo hit it right on the head.  Bring Trek to TV again.  I had always hoped to watch Dorn become a Captain of a starship, but I'm good with whatever they think of, as long as it's well done.  I'm actually watching Voyager again right now, and I'm actually enjoying it more then I did the first time.  Maybe cause I'm starving for some real Star Trek TV to show up again.

Whatever happened to the Captain Worf spinoff series btw?

Iridan 5/14/2014 12:38:28 PM

Higgy, I agree. I like Voyager far more now then when it orginally aired.
