RoboCop Official Trailer #2

Official!

By Robert T. Trate     November 07, 2013
Source: Sony Pictures

Here is the new official second trailer for the upcoming reboot of RoboCop

Check out the second RoboCop trailer below. I am till not sold on the actor or the armor for this reboot.

The Plot: In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance to build a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

RoboCop features Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Samuel L. Jackson.

RoboCop arrives February 7th, 2014.

Uh. No. This looks stupid. The original is a classic. All this looks like is another over-CGI'd attempt at re-invisioning a classic, once again. Didn't they learn ANYTHING from the crap that was Total Recall's remake? Adding gee-wiz FX doesn't make a movie, or remake, good. Definitely pass on this turd!

I, on the other hand, LOOOOOVE this actor. He is amazing in The Killing. I like the trailer too. I'll give it a try. As good as the original was, I dont' have some strange religious reverence towards it. It was by no means a masterpiece. Good 80's fun, but not blow your socks off. There really wasn't anything in this trailer that turned me off. It's got my opening weekend $10.

This looks great !  Agree with Calamity, Joel Kinnaman is a great actor in "The Killing".

Prediction................Michael Keaton steals this movie !!

The fact they kept one biological hand is too distracting and takes you right out of the movie. It looks like the wardrobe dept. forgot to put his glove on. For the record the Total Recall remake would have worked if had a story that made any kind of logical sense, it didn't. And Colin Farrell's shitty acting didn't help.

Looks very good and I plan on watching it!

I agree with redvector about the hand. It is very distracting to me. However, this trailer got my attention much more than the first. I think other than the hand, the suit looks really good.

Maybe he'll lose the hand at some point in the movie.  I agree though...it just looks weird to have a cybernetic arm with a human hand attached to the end.  This looks ok.  I'll watch it.  But I still like the silver more than the black.
