What They Say
As a massive Zentraedi Armada prepares for a final assault on the people of Earth, preparations for battle take a back seat as an historic union between man and alien takes place - the wedding of Max Sterling - one of earth's greatest heroes - and Miriya - an ace Zentraedi combat pilot.
But the celebration is short lived when all of Earth's resources are put to the test as the full force of the Zentraedi Fleet attack with savage fury. Many lives will be lost before a final victor is declared in the First Robotech War.

The Review!
Alright! Another six episode of the series that has become a classic anime hit for the 80's on DVD. How can you resist?

Audio: Same mono. Doesn't ruin the show that much though.

Video: I upgraded the video quality because the animation gets a little boost. Still no artifacting or grain by transferring. Way to go ADV.

Packaging: Not the most glamorous cover a the series. A wounded army fighter (not sure on the name of it). It's not bad, but not really great either.

Menus: Same as last time except different video. Wow, this stuff really just passes over your head you don't really care much for it.

Extras: It's $15 with six episodes. What'd you expect? A textless opening? TV commericals? Maybe an interactive game? Sorry for putting words in your mouth. No extras

Content: Now were talking. This volume gets down to the real meat of the Macross Saga. Prepare for battle!

It's starts out with Max making the sudden wedding to his foegirlfriend Zentradi, Myria. When the Zentradi see this, they go mutiny. Bretai knows when he's been beaten. He sends over Exedore to work out an agreement. However, after talking with the Micronions, Bretai gets word that Dolza is on his way with the main fleet to kill everyone. Bretai and Azonia decide to team up with the SDF-1, but Kyron back out. Thanks to Minmei's singing, the main cannons, the Dataliss attack manuver and the Omni-Barrier, the SDF-1 is able to wipe out Dolza's main ship within seconds in a glorious fashion.

The last three episodes show just how uncomfortable the Zentradi are with peace. The RDF acts more as a police system now stopping renegade Zentradi. The disc ends with Lisa and Rick's kissing helping the RDF to capture the Zentradi controlled Robotech Factory. Along with a little help from Miriya and her baby girl.

Overall, one of the most exciting discs of the Macross Saga. Easily worth the cheap price their asking for.
