What They Say
The reconstruction of the Earth with the help of the few remaining Zentraedi - loyal to Breetai- is slow going. It is a time of great uncertainty on both a global and personal scale. The reappearance of Khyron, the rogue Zentraedi warlord, offers the Robotech Defense force a final opportunity to restore peace to their savaged planet.

The lives and loves of these beleaguered survivors form the backdrop to an ultimate showdown for the fate of mankind. The bittersweet conclusion to the Macross Saga, the pivotal first act of one of the greatest animated epics.

The Review!
Well, if you've been following the series this far, you might as well buy this volume. Why? Because it's the finally of the Macross Saga of Robotech. So obviously you can't miss this disc.

Audio: Mono, mono, mono. What? It's old. It's called nostalga.

Video: The video quality suffered a little in the first two episodes, but that dissapears fast. Other than that, solid transferring on ADVs half.

Packaging: Glorious! Full cover of SDF-1 with flames a blazing. Whats not to like?

Menus: Pretty much the same as volume 5. Same music, but with video of the city burning. Standard menus.

Extras: None. It's $15. You get 6 episodes. You should know that by now.

Content: It's finale. Yet, it's not quite as promising as you think it is. Still worth watching, but a little dissapointing.

Kyron's Revenge (B-): The protoculture chamber becomes Kyron's prime target. After stealing it, he begins to regrow his army of Zentradi along with Azonia at his side.

Broken Heart (B+): Minmei is captured and now the Skull Squadron must save her. We even get to see Azonia and Kyron kiss...and get drunk. As well as Kyron going hand-to-hand with Veritechs.

A Rainy Night (C): Claudia talks to Lisa about her relationship with Roy. No fighting in this episode.

Private Time (C+): Rick goes out with Lisa, but then he goes with Minmei and then the Zentradi attack. Nothing works out for Rick.

Seasons Greetings (B+): Kyron's goes to steal more protoculture on X-mas and also have a little fun by blowing up the town.

To The Stars (B+): Kyron makes his final assault on the SDF-1 (or SDF-2) and lots of people die.

Overall, the final episodes didn't stink, but they leave you desiring more and feel that the ending was rushed. But then again, the Robotech Masters and New Generation promise to be great. More fun to come.

Note: Look in Episode 35 for an Astro Boy and Godzilla toy box.
