VARIETY notes that THE ROCK has come aboard a remake of the 1973 WALKING TALL, the story of determined real-life Sheriff Buford Pusser's struggle to clean up the county.
The remake is scripted by David Klass and will hit production in early summer, it is thought. The film's being backed by MGM/Hyde Park.
