It looks like that long-rumored big screen version of the classic arcade game, SPY HUNTER, is moving forward with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson set to star.

The film, which has Johnson playing car/boat/plane fighting expert Alec Sects, who uses various vehicles (to the PETER GUNN theme) to fight bad guys on the highway, sea and sky.

Producers are now looking for a writer to translate the game, originally debuting as a driving/shooting game in 1983 and more recently updated on home gaming consoles, to the big screen. The villain, Daemon Curry, president of Nostra International, has yet to be cast.
