Rodriguez Leading McGowan in CHAINS?

Director Robert Rodriguez is shipping a new spec around called "Women in Chains!" a violent drama set at a woman's prison starring his fiancee, Rose McGowan. The spec script, written by Josh Miller and Mark Fortin, has been sent to a number of networks, including NBC and FX.

Plot Concept: McGowan is set play one of five chained women at the center of the show, which Rodriguez is expected to direct. The duo team who hooked up during their Planet Terror experience have also been shopping Barbarella around Hollywood this past year.

Since this series will be much like "Terror", an
exploitation series, it's hard to see the big three networks going for this one. But there's always FX, HBO and Showtime as possibles along with a few others. When more comes in on this spec, we'll pass it along.

I love RR and Rose McGowan is pretty cool chick, but like the article says, I really can't see this getting picked up by either of the big 3 networks. It sounds like a TNT, late night movie. Caged Heat or something. Not that I have a problem with Rose chained to a bunch of other hot women, with nothing to do but roll around with each other.

I am a big fan of Robert Rodriguez, but I think his first priority should be to finish the movie Machete. I really want to see that movie. According to wikipedia.com, "40 minutes of the movie has been shot."

WTF? RR just because she's F***ing you doesn't mean it's your job to find her work, god d*** it! Stop thinking with your little head and start thinking with your big head, GOD D*** IT!

NotAFan, my sentiments exactly. That's what you call being pussy whipped. Well I think most us imagined that she was a great lay and RR obviously thinks so too. But he needs to start thinking about making good films as opposed to projects for this chick. Look at Guy Ritchie when he did the same for Maddona with Swept Away and take heed.

It's fine to be pussy whipped, if you're the only one being affected. But when your fans are waiting for you to make more movies, you have a responsibility to them, too. Rose found plenty of work before she met you, she can find work on her own without you.

Though if anyone was to be in one of those prison chick exploitation flicks no one would be better than her or Dita von Trois (Marilyn Manson's ex) by the way they're built. And I can think of no one other than Rose, right now, that has a body as good for Barberella so I think all that might be happenstance.

Yeah, I'd like to see Machete and Sin City 2 and the supposed Blind Man trilogy starring Depp as the character from Once Upon a Time in Mexico but I can wait. His movies are usually good anyway and I'll catch whatever he throws unless it's his penis or another kid's movie.

Make it a remake of Chained Heat and put it in the theaters. And have Brigitte Nielsen in it as well.

Put Nielsen in a movie and people will vomit from her skin leaking through the screen.

Cobra 2

stupid ! ... if they were smart they would get her on heroes .. all this is a dirty prison break that would last 8-13 episodes and then get cancelled
