Another look at the Cars spin off

Walt Disney Studios has released a Sneak Peek of their next Disney Toon Studios release Planes. The animated feature starring Dane Cook, Stacy Keach, and Brad Garrett is a an obvious spin off from their successful franchise, Cars. Check out the official Sneak Peek below. 

Synopsis: From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. 

Planes features the vocal talents of Dane Cook, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Gabriel Iglesias,Roger Craig Smith, Colin Cowherd, Sinbad, Oliver Kalkofe, Brent Musburger, Anthony Edwards, and Val Kilmer. 

Disney’s Planes takes off in theaters on Aug. 9, 2013.

Meh.  I guess this was inevitable.  What's next, Scooters?  It's worth a shot, so I'll check it out on Netflix or Redbox unless my niece wants me to take her to see it.  And Dane Cook?  I didn't even know he was still alive.  Maybe since it's just his voice he won't annoy the shit outta me.

And today they revealed another sequel... Finding Dory.

This was originaly to be a direct to DVD I read, it doesnt raise my hopes much, then again cars 2 set a low bar.

Ummm, whenever I race my prop plane against jets I always win.  In fact that is my the modern airforce has all gone to prop planes and we got rid of those stupid jet planes.

Direct to DVD is the best bet.  I got seriously bored just watching this short clip.
