Hyde Park and Platinum Studios have set SUPERMAN RETURNS star Brandon Routh to star in DEAD OF NIGHT.

Based on the bestselling Italian comicbook series DYLAN DOG by Tiziano Sclavi,  the story centers on a private investigator (Routh) who is drawn into the world of the undead.  Kevin Munroe will direct.  SAHARA writers Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly wrote the script.

Hyde Park's Ashok Amritraj and Platinum's Scott Mitchell Rosenberg will produce. Randy Greenberg and Hyde Park's Patrick Aiello will executive produce.

Routh will next hit the silver screen in THE INFORMERS with Billy Bob Thornton and Kim Basinger.

I like Routh as Superman, like the undead and the detective stuff but isn't this treading too close to Hellboy and Hellblazer. I would see it anyway I'm sure.
Too bad it isn't Marvel's current Dead of Night with Man-Thing, great story. This is the way they should've done Man-Thing instead of that horrible sci/fi film.

Routh was great as Superman because Superman has no personality or Charisma just like Routh,So it's a perfect match...Actually he was great as Superman because he looks a little like Christopher Reeve and that's why ass wipe Singer Hired him...Now that I think about it I have never seen this guy give a true performance in any way shape or form, do any of you watch day time soap shows, if you do or have can you tell us how good his acting chops are?

There's already an old movie, that's good as hell, called Cemetery Man based on the Dylan Dog character and comics. Though I'm pretty sure they changed all the characters in it. You should check it out. It's an Italian flick as well, if I remember right. I know it has lots of breasts and laughs.

Minor edit: Actually, the character from Cemetery Man is from the maker of the Dylan Dog comics novel. But they do meet each other in one of the Dylan Dog comics.

Interesting note is that the Dylan Dog character was based on Rupert Everrett who played "Cemetery Man".

Guess my friend told me the sort of the wrong info. Went and made sure I was right and guess I wasn't.
