While talking to the Arts and Entertainment network for her recent BIOGRAPHY special, HARRY POTTER author J.K. Rowling teased fans with the gloomy reminder a major character will be dying before the end of the seven book series.
"Death is an extremely important theme throughout all seven books," Rowling said. "Possibly the most important theme. If you are writing about evil, which I am, I'm writing about someone who is essentially a psychopath, you have a duty to show the real evil of taking a human life... More people are going to die."
Then Rowling, famous for laying out the story for the entire seven books already, said "There's at least one death that's going to be horrible to write. To rewrite, actually, because it's already written. But is has to be."
HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, book five in the series, is due out this summer.
