The Review!
Please excuse the fact that I am not grading anymore, as I just don't like it. But here are my impressions of the disk...

Video: Very good. Was very clean with bright friendly colors for the most part, except where the story demanded otherwise. The disk was running at a 7mbit bitrate most of the way through, with obvious drops in low activity areas, but overall this thing has very good quality.

Audio: I only listened to the english audiotrack last night. Since I am not familiar with the show I figured I'd watch the dub first as these tend to be pretty lame sometimes, but I have to say, that for the most part the acting was pretty good. Some over done characters, but not too bad, especially since this show isn't exactly suposed to be Perfect Blue :)

Stuff on disk: Fair to good. Has a bunch of ADV previews, but nothing earth shateringly important. It's adequate is all. Menus are pretty snappy as well. My only beef is that on some occasions when a episode would finish, instead of playing through, it would open the scene selection menu for that episode. However it wasn't consistent, so I'll atribute it to my player acting all funky.

Content: Like I mentioned already, I have never seen anything of this series. I was mainly interested since the story line looked cool. It's all abot this place that had magic long ago, but as it always happen's, some people got too powerful, a huge war ensued and everybody died. Well, not everybody, but most everybody. Of course, the last good guys hid all the powerful magic items all over the palce so that the power would be gone, but now there are Ruin Explorers that go into all the old dumps looking for booty. Enter our story, where we join up with some ruin explorers as they attempt to liberate some old stuff out of a trap infested dungeon. Fam and Ihrie are our girls, Fam being a fruity chick, Ihrie being a cursed chick that turns into a mouse when she does magic. What ensues is 2 hours of them trying to gain the ultimate power, getting conned along the way, conning others, hooking up with some other explorers and even a prince. Don't worry the story is actually pretty entertaining. They don't do ridiculous amounts of fanservice, but there is some naked boobies in there as well :)

My only beef with the show is that it's a lot like most other RPG based shows and doesn't waver too far from the standard storyline of hugely powerfull evil mage and raggety band of semi-good guys that try to get rid of him. But if you like the genre, you'll definitly like this show. Even if you're not too big a fan, it does have some odd little loops that will keep ya looking. Oh, and you just gotta see the dog in this show. I love it when he says wuss :)
