Bring it on! Renner would be a great Hawkeye.

I'm sad that Fox is out of TF3, simply cuz she's so hot. But she's too hot to really be believable as a g/f for Sam anyway. Bring on a 20-ish version of Tina Fey - brainysexycool. That would fit better than a friggin' Victoria Secret model as a love interest for nerdy Sam.

Maybe someone like Ellen Page or Emma Stone?

Marmaduke? When's "Howard Huge" coming out?

Duckbeaver 5/26/2010 10:50:50 AM

Ha!  Scoxocs, that made my day!  I was actually thinking that "Family Circus" would be next.  Yeah, Hollywood's really scraping the bottom of the barrel if all they can come up with is a feature film based on a one-panel daily comic strip that I don't remember being all that funny to start with.

I said it once and I'll say it again: just another hot(?) 1-dimensional human clogging up the "Transformers" franchise.  'Course, that series was already clogged the second they gave it Mr. Bay.

Renner as Hawkeye works for me.

Well we havent seen Chris Evan's Cap yet and we havent seen Chris Hemsworths we cant make those assumption yet Ozy. I think we need to wait and see how these characters play out on their own as a whole before judge how they will be in Avengers. I wouldnt count RDJ out of playing Iron Man in Avengers. Thor will be on earth half the time so how can he NOT get all the non-asgardian appearances?

cromulentcat 5/26/2010 11:48:56 AM

I really wanted Timothy Olyphant for Hawkeye... oh well Renner will work I guess.

I don't think we'll have as much Shield and Avengers set-up in the Thor movie because it's the first story. In IM2 everything in the story seemed a natural progression for me (more Shield, Black Widow, Avengers) because of the overall storyline of the American military wanting the IM armor. I didn't feel the story was pimped at all as some here have suggested.

I like that Marvel's making their Avengers-centric movies a hybrid of the original Marvel stories and the Ultimate stories. With Joss Wheden on board the Avengers movie I have no worries about there being too many characters because Joss has shown in both his TV/movie and comic writing that one of his strengths is the group dynamic. If Hawkeye is in the movie, and Joss does a lot of the dialogue work, I hope we get the smartass Hawkeye because Joss is great at writing a character like that.

I was reading Marvel stories before many of you were probably born and I've been waiting my whole life for these movies. As a kid I was teased with the TV versions of Captain America, Doctor Stranger, Hulk, Thor, Daredevil and Spiderman. To be honest I almost wouldn't care if the movies weren't that great, and I love that they're putting a lot of characters into these movies. The great part is the movies are actually pretty good, with some being downright excellent.

I know these are two diffrent Marvel superheros, Iron Man, Captain America, Two diffrent actors,Robert Downy Junior, Chris Evan, Its like Machete, Butter knife to me.  We will have to wait and see if the chemistry is there, Robert acting skills are brutal and You All Know This Man!

Yeah, I definitely agree that we won't see much of SHIELD in the Thor movie. Most of it is going to be in Asgardian realm anyway. Obviously based on the end of Iron Man 2, at some point after the events of the Thor movie, Mjoinir is sent crashing to Earth. Who knows maybe we won't see Donald Blake until the end of the movie. Its all speculation , but I'm looking forward to it and trust what Marvel is doing. Like Wessmith, I'm just damn happy they are finally doing this all.
