Rupert Evans is the New SUPERMAN?

Take this as a rumor because it's based on a scooper over at Superhero Hype and it is not confirmed by any means. The scooper informed SHH that actor Rupert Evans has been cast, or is about to be cast, as Superman in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA movie by Warner Bros. The actor is primarily known by his role as Agent John Myers in the 2004 HELLBOY film. Since there has been indications that Bats and Supes will be portrayed by older actors, I'll mention that Evans turned 30 last March.
Warner Bros has already said that they will not confirm any casting until they have the full team assembled for the production. They hope to have production under way by early 2008 in hopes of a summer 2009 theater release.
In other news, our good friend Patrick over at Back Row Chatter had his inside source on the JLA production chime in after the first 14 pages of the script treatment were reportedly leaked to online outlets. "Not so fast", says his spy. According to this report, the leaked 14 pages are not real and he goes on to detail what actually happens in the real script being used by WB. Okay... even if by some strange coincidence it turns out to be true, why are you reporting it? There is no credible evidence supporting it whatsoever. It's the same as "I heard through a friend who heard from some guy that blah, blah, blah." As far as we know this was created by some 'scooper' fanboy who felt he'd make a great Superman who knows someone at SHH.
Sorry to be so critical, but geez, pretty soon you'll all be reporting about each others websites instead of the facts. I stopped visiting AICN for this very same reason and all the other fanboy glee and would hate to see you guys lower your standards as well.
