Chuck Russell, director of this spring's THE SCORPION KING, is partnering with Frank Darabont to bring CrossGen's comic book THE WAY OF THE RAT to the bring screen.
The duo have signed a deal with Castle Rock Entertainment to produce a RAT film, written and directed by Russell and produced by Darabont (THE GREEN MILE, INDIANA JONES 4). RAT, a martial arts adventure title has been under development at Darabont's Dark Wood Productions until now.
With this comes the news Russell is also developing a film version of CrossGen's SCION, the fantasy/science fiction comic book.
"I have been a fan of comics and graphic novels since I was a kid," Russell told the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. "CrossGen seems to have a knack for stories that hold up in greater detail."
